The Proud Trust – Posted by jacktielemans Manchester, England, United Kingdom

Job Description

 The Proud Trust is recruiting!

The Proud Trust is a lifesaving and life enhancing organisation that helps young LGBT+ people empower themselves to make a positive change for themselves and their communities. We do this through youth groups; one-to-one support; managing the LGBT+ Centre for Manchester; delivery of training and events; campaigns; undertaking research and creating resources.

Trans Care Navigator and Social Action Coordinator

We are seeking a capable and experienced person to join our team. We recognise that many trans and non-binary people have not had linear career paths, and as a result, many people who would be really good for youth and community roles feel under-confident to apply and don’t always recognise the skills they have. So if this is you, think again! The ‘school of life’ may qualify you as capable and experienced for this role, so if you have the passion to undertake the role, transferable skills and a willingness to learn, please apply.

This vacancy is for: 25 hours per week 12 months fixed term (with potential to extend the role, funding dependent)

Full time equivalent rate of £21,879.00 (Actual £14,586 for 25hrs), plus pension contributions

Please note, we are asking for a range of skills in this role: being good at undertaking one-to-one support; being good at campaigns and social action AND being good at training people (see 1,2,3 below). If you think you might be more suited to one or two of these rather than the whole job, please indicate this on your application e.g. if you think 1,2 but not 3 are for you), and we will consider you as someone who could job share this role. Please ensure you respond to the whole job description and person specification of the whole role in the supporting information.
