YOUR OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Training and Retention Specialist to lead and innovate our retention and training strategies. We want you because you have a true understanding of how organizational culture drives performance and morale. You are ideal for this position because you have excellent interpersonal and observation skills. You are collaborative, articulate, detailed oriented, and have superb communication skills.
This is a full-time, remote position. This position requires limited domestic travel, this is equivalent to approximately 2-5 trips per year. We are only able to consider applicants who reside in the United States and possess United States work authorization. This position reports to the Director of People Operations.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive engagement initiatives through retention goals
- Develop, maintain, and distribute employee engagement survey reports
- Develop and conduct “stay” interviews towards the goal of strengthening employee retention strategies
- Conduct exit interviews and track reasons for voluntary terminations to inform future HR recruitment and retention strategies
- Instruct new managers on their roles and reports regarding engagement and retention
- Assist Talent Acquisition Specialist with recruitment postings, applicant screenings, and interview scheduling
- Lead and facilitate the Fellowship program, a 16 week program for two semesters a year
- Lead and facilitate departmental volunteer needs in partnership with our separate volunteer program with our Organizing team
- Identify training needs throughout the organization and create plans to address them
- Develop, provide, audit, update and maintain staff trainings
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS)
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum of 2 years experience in employee engagement and/or human resources
- Experience using HR and training software (Ex. HRIS, ATS, LMS, Etc.)
- Ability to articulate and champion the key business drivers and ROI of employee engagement
- Ability to convey complex information in a way that people understand
- The ability to work autonomously and to deal with ambiguity is critical
- Proven organizational skills – be willing to multi-task and operate in a fast-paced challenging environment
- Solid facilitation and presentation skills
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to make sound judgments on job-related matters
- Works with minimal supervision
- Demonstrates initiative and manages multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Starting salary $47,350 or salary to commensurate with experience.
