Position Summary
Friends of Ruby is looking to hire a Training and Development Coordinator to join the Human Resources team. The Training and Development Coordinator will be the point of contact for training and development related inquiries as well as supporting the delivery of training and development programs within Friends of Ruby. This includes planning, coordinating, directing training and development programs, maintaining training, and compiling reports and statistics.

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Training and Development Coordinator will support organizational growth and increase employee productivity through the long-term improvement of employees’ skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the organization, while staying current with changing technologies.

Tasks and Responsibilities

Training and Development

Support the management team in identifying training needs in their teams, create opportunities for learning and training programs for professional development, and coordinate the facilitation of in-house general training;
Participate in educational activities and initiatives to enhance the skill, experience, and knowledge of Friends of Ruby’s staff;
Ongoing planning and management of employees’ career path;
Review training materials from a variety of vendors and select those with appropriate content to make the best use of available resources for staff’s Professional Development; including researching, creating, implementing or sourcing an internal anti-racism and anti – oppression training program
Supports the administration of training and development curriculums across the organization by coordinating and executing program logistics; including researching internal and external resources
Supports the project management of new talent and training & development initiatives and program launches; Coordinate, manage and facilitate webinars in collaboration with other team members
Stay current on training and development trends and provide recommendations for ongoing improvements
Work on special projects as needed

Administration

Prepare reports, proposals, and manages training budget information for the purposes of business planning as required.
Create and maintain training and development records: including program evaluations, attendance records, and learning schedules in preparation for tracking, analyzing data for the creation of reports on talent metrics and dashboards
Administer various assessment tools such as feedback surveys and questionnaires
Supports the training and development through organizing focus group sessions, questionnaires, feedback surveys and other needs analysis tools and research

Skills & Experiences
2-3 years practical, relevant experience in administering Training and Development, Adult Education systems and Human Resources related experience preferred.
Experience managing LMS content and use of eLearning tools such as LinkedIn Learning, or Litmos
Exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and writing skills, including documentation, reporting, and presenting, ability to build trusting relationships with individuals at any level.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to remain calm in situations that involve multiple demands, being able to shift priorities with ease and resiliency.

Additional Requirements
Satisfactory clearance under the Police Background Check.
Must be qualified to legally work in Canada.
Willing to work at a flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the organization, working evenings on occasions.
Ability to travel to other community-based settings as needed.
