About the role

The role of a Trainer and Assessor at TrainSmart Australia is to enhance the pedagogy experience, engage with students and provide quality training and assessment delivery in the Community Services qualifications. You will bring your core industry skills into the classroom and online, inspire and help shape the industry and next generation of professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and administering cohorts of learners
  • Face-to-Face delivery of courses to learners
  • The marking of learners’ assessments
  • Providing feedback to learners
  • Supporting learners throughout their learning journey
  • Participating in feedback collection and continuous improvement
  • Keep up with industry currency

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be passionate about sharing their knowledge and expertise through the structured delivery of training to students in both online and face-to-face. As a Trainer and Assessor, it is essential that you have the ability to inspire and motivate students to reach their full potential. A highly engaging and mentoring teaching style is preferred especially with mature age adult learners.

To be a successful candidate, you must have:

  • The TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment *
  • Industry experience in the area of Mental Health and/or the Community Services sector
  • A qualification in Community services

 

Qualifications or experience in one or more of the following areas is also highly regarded:

  • Counselling
  • Youth Work
  • Alcohol and Other Drugs Health Services including rehabilitation and recovery
  • Prior experience in training and assessment support

 

* TSA will offer a sponsorship onto the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment for the right candidate.
