The Billing Reconciliation Specialist role is responsible for setting up and maintaining Billing Reconciliation services for a large number of clients of varying size and complexity.  This role will be responsible for auditing and oversight of work performed by outsourced partners. A strong understanding of health and welfare benefits is required.

This position is a salaried, exempt and full-time role and reports to the Administrative Services Practice Lead. This position is 100% remote (within USA), with the option to work from any of Newfront’s office locations. #LI-Remote

What You’ll Be Responsible for include the following to develop solutions that fit client needs, challenges and goals:

      • Oversee and audit monthly billing reconciliation on behalf of clients.  This will include auditing of various carrier bills such as medical, dental, vision, and ancillary plans to enrollment census data.
      •  Determine cause of discrepancies; research appropriate records or documents as needed to verify variances and identify changes in enrollment or status.
      • Work with 3rd party partners, carriers and client teams to research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
      • Support and manage existing and prospective client relationships providing excellent customer service.
      • Manage various benefit administration tasks as needed on behalf of clients including but not limited to enrollments, research, audit and review of data to ensure accuracy.
      • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

What you bring to the table:

    • Excellent communication skills written, public speaking and presentation preparation.
    • Exceptional telephone/video etiquette for customer service environment, professionalism, and tact.
    • Proficient knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and intermediate complexities of features. Expert knowledge of Excel preferred.
    • Proficient knowledge and ability to learn and implement Newfront Client technology systems.
    • Ability to be resourceful, take initiative, solve problems and offer solutions.
    • Works well with others in a fast-paced environment and be responsive to co-workers and colleagues.  Ability to train and give feedback.
    • Adaptability and flexibility to respond to client and team needs.
    • Excellent time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities and high volumes.
    • Ability to learn and adopt use of technology systems and software applications.
    • Ability to multi-task, understand urgency and deal with changing priorities and deadlines.
    • Ability to review client deliverables to ensure accuracy.
    • Intermediate project management skills and systems knowledge.
    • Ability to forge relationships and build trust with clients, team and carriers.

 

Education and Experience:

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in a benefit related role.
    • Benefits administration experience required.
    •  Experience with a variety of Benefit Administration platforms preferred.

 

The pay range for this position in California, Washington, Colorado and New York at commencement of employment is expected to be between $79,200 and $99,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
