Job Description
The Biology Department at Grand Valley State University invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track appointment at the assistant professor level to start in Fall 2024. An applicant should hold a doctorate in Biology or Biology Education. Expertise in Science Education (K-12) and demonstrated success in teaching and scholarship are required. Teaching or research experience with preservice teachers is considered desirable. The ability to work in a collaborative interdisciplinary environment is a plus. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate Integrated Science courses for preservice teachers and Biology courses for majors and non-majors appropriate to the applicant’s area of expertise. Other assignments include student advising, active scholarship, and university and community service.
