UKCEH is looking for an enthusiastic Tender Support Assistant to join our 600-strong team, contributing to scientific discovery and generating the data, insights and solutions that researchers, businesses and governments need to solve complex environmental challenges.

You’ll be assisting our dedicated Tender Support Team with day-to-day administration activities to secure competitive income opportunities amounting to over £30M a year! You’ll be in direct contact with our scientists across our four sites to accurately record funding opportunities and maintain our filing system.
You’ll have the opportunity to learn about our world class research and our main funder streams. You may occasionally work and support our Research Development Team and Insights department.

Your main responsibilities will include:
- Recording information about funding opportunities and outcomes
- Maintaining company profiles within bidding portals
- Managing the Tender Support calendar and taking notes during meetings
- Helping to compile submission documents
- Ensuring all documents are filed appropriately
For the role of Tender Support Assistant, we’re looking for somebody who:
- Has the capability to work with autonomy, manage, and prioritise your own time to manage a changing workload and meet deadlines as well as work collaboratively in a team environment
- Has proficient skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
- Understands data integrity and importance of accuracy with completing data entry tasks, experience with database preferred e.g., Microsoft Access
- Competence to accurately file documents and keep folders in good working order
- Exceptional attention to detail: able to proofread written material to check for grammatical and spelling mistakes
- Experience in formatting documents to meet set requirements
- Has knowledge and/or an interest in Environmental Science or Environmental issues (Desirable)
- Administrative experience in a university, research organisation, consultancy, or similar professional services environment (Desirable)
