Temporary Lab Technician

The Ball State University’s Department of Chemistry is accepting applications for a Temporary Lab Technician. This position will perform duties necessary to the efficient operation of chemistry laboratories; train instructors and students in the operation of chemical instrumentation; assist in the maintenance of chemical instrumentation.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent in chemistry or related field. Previous chemistry lab experience using chemical instrumentation; excellent computer skills; strong interpersonal skills.
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in a science field. Inventory experience; computer maintenance experience; supervisory experience.
