Full-Time Technology Manager
Job Description
Make-A-Wish is looking for an inspiring Technology Manager to work on 12-month contract who will be able to ensure operational delivery as well as oversee strategic development of our tech infrastructure.
Make-A-Wish is a growing organisation. In the next few months, we will be piloting exciting projects that will need solid technology support, both in planning and in operational delivery. We also want to ensure that our people have the best systems and support in order to do their job and that we have a way forward set out for all our technology needs.
To ensure all of the above, we are looking for an Technology Manager who will deliver the organisation’s business objectives through technology plans, solutions and services, as well as manage and further develop a technology roadmap in line with the overall strategy. They will deploy, and enable the charity’s technology advancement by advising, guiding, and influencing all technology decisions whilst living up to our values of Be Inclusive, Be Magical and Be Inspiring and role-modelling them in all they do.
Some of the Technology Manager’s responsibilities will be to:
- Provide subject matter expertise to senior management on all tech related planning
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to prioritise effectively in order to provide the most magical IT environment for all people at Make-A-Wish.
- Manage the accounting and cost control of the IT budget.
- Improve and update software and systems particularly relating to Office 365 environment and Salesforce.
- Develop and enhance IT ways of working.
- Manage the day-to-day deliverables and issues including full IT asset management
- Manage and coordinate all IT related contracts.
We are looking for a passionate individual with a strong commitment to the Make-A-Wish mission and vision and to our values who will be focussed on strategic development of people, systems, technological solutions, building partnerships and working environments. Ability to speak about technology in an inclusive way will be hugely beneficial.
This is 12-month contract with a potential to be extended.
Location:
Our central hub is located in Reading and we operate a flexible work from home policy.
Salary: £60,000 per annum
