Full-Time Technical Solutions Specialist

Job Description

Reporting to the Operations Team Lead, the Technical Solutions Specialist is a technical role with a customer-oriented focus.  The Operations Team is the engine that powers Andgo.  This team gives our product a platform on which to run that is observable, reliable, and secure.  They build, support, and manage the tools, infrastructure, and data that the Andgo teams need to do their work.

As part of the customer relationship, the Technical Solutions Specialist works with a Customer Success Manager and Product Specialist.  The Technical Solutions Specialist is responsible for the delivery of the technical components required in onboarding and the customer relationship.  These are things like cloud infrastructure management, single sign-on configuration, and integration with telecom providers.  Customer communication generally takes place through the Andgo ticketing system, but at times Technical Solutions Specialists may be required to communicate directly with the customer’s organization (generally IT or Business Solutions team) to work out technical details.

This role is all about problem-solving, troubleshooting, and debugging.  An exceptional candidate is one who learns quickly and who can adapt to new technology and systems.  Experience with large enterprise organizations and the systems they use, such as UKG Dimensions (formerly Kronos Workforce Dimensions) is a great asset.

Responsibilities

  • Addressing customer needs throughout the customer relationship
  • Deploying updates and configuration changes to customer systems
  • Coordinating customer needs with release versioning to ensure customers receive critical fixes and changes when they are needed
  • Communicating with customers directly and with our Customer Success Team
  • Explaining technical issues in a customer-accessible way and contributing to product and internal documentation
  • Escalating issues to other team members when required
  • Testing new releases and creating bug reports
  • Maintaining and improving Andgo’s self-hosted internal tools
  • Participating in an on-call rotation

Required

  • Diploma or B.Sc in Computer Science (or related technical discipline) or equivalent experience
  • Experience with the modern IT landscape
  • Outstanding troubleshooting and debugging skills
  • Ability to learn new technology quickly
  • UNIX / Linux experience and familiarity with Python
  • Ability to constructively work with a team; sharing, mentoring, and collaborating
  • Ability to effectively communicate with non-technical stakeholders in terms relevant to them

Bonus Points

  • Experience with UKG (formerly Kronos) products
  • Experience with PostgreSQL and Elasticsearch
  • Experience with structured QA and release management processes
  • Experience with SAML 2.0 integrations
