Job Description

We’re looking for an energetic, passionate Technical Product Manager to join us in developing next-generation tools for professional photographers and creatives. Product Management at Pixieset is a hands-on role that wears many hats from roadmap planning to product design to project execution. You will work closely with Engineering, Design, other internal teams and the founders to decide what products we build, why we build them and how we build them. As a Technical Product Manager, you bring the next level of tech expertise needed to make a complex projects successful. You will be the glue that unites all aspects of the product under a single vision. You will be the person that takes projects to the finish line at all costs, and help us launch products that impacts 500,000+ photographers.

Your responsibilities:

• Champion and drive the vision of the product
• Work collaboratively with our engineers and designers to deliver new product features from conception to launch
• Create detailed wireframes and click-through prototypes
• Work with designers to deliver high-fidelity mockups and assets to other team members
• Manage project backlogs and sprints continuously
• Continually seek and improve the capabilities as well as limitations of the system
• Envision and deliver a winning product experience

Qualifications

Love creating awesome products? Excited about making an impact and delighting real users? You will be wearing multiple hats and acting as the quarterback for driving our products forward. You will be the bridge between technology and product management expertise for our teams. We are looking for a Technical Product Manager who understands SaaS technology and uses that knowledge to widen the breadth of our next generation of features.

Ideally you are/have:

• A BSc in Computer Science or a strong hands-on technical background
• Have 2-3 years experience managing products, or have first hand experience turning ideas into product
• Have a strong understanding of current technology and the software development lifecycle
• Possess exceptional leadership and communication skills to work effectively multiple stakeholders
• Ready to be extremely hands on in all aspects of product development
• Have a keen product intuition and design sense
• A self starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and the drive to ensure the success of the project
• Nice to haves:
  • Experience working with JavaScript, PHP, MySQL or other similar technology
  • Familiar with professional photography workflow and software

Additional Information

The Pixieset team is currently working remotely due to provincial guidelines surrounding COVID-19. We will continue to evaluate the possibility of going back to in-office work in the coming months. Given the uncertainty around the situation, applicants should be prepared to work remotely for an extended period of time. Remote candidates must have work authorization in Canada.
