Electrical Components International (ECI) is looking for a Tax Director to join our team in Southfield, MI!!
Qualified candidates must have:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Tax, or related field
- Masters in Tax preferred
- 5-10+ years of experience in similar role within the manufacturing and/or industrial industry
- CPA preferred
- Big 4/large regional CPA firm or large corporation tax department experience

About the Position:
The Tax Director will be responsible for leading and developing a team in tax compliance, preparing income tax provision, and driving implementations of tax planning projects.
Duties Include:
- Provides tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory services to the organization
- Successfully research and resolve complex tax issues, apply findings to projects, and clearly communicate those findings to leaders and executives
- Prepare domestic income tax compliance
- Prepare quarterly and year end income tax provision
- Assist with FIN 48/FAS 5 documentation
- Assist with implementation of tax planning projects
- Complete various tax correspondence with various tax agencies
- Responsible for calculating quarterly estimated tax payments
- Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations, review and ensure timely filing of federal, international, and state and local tax returns
- Analyze and respond to tax notices for all tax types and jurisdictions and assist with gathering supporting documentation for income tax and indirect tax audits
- Review non-income tax account reconciliations and coordinate with outside review
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Tax, or related field
- Masters in Tax preferred
- CPA preferred
- 5-10+ years of experience in similar role within the manufacturing and/or industrial industry
- Big 4/large regional CPA firm or large corporation tax department experience
- Working knowledge and experience with ASC 740
- Experience with ProSystem FX tax preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong multi-tasker
- Strong negotiating skills
- Strong strategic ability
- Solid analytical skills

Travel:
Ability to travel 10-20% to St. Louis, MO
Compensation:
The salary will be determined based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities
