Full-Time Talent Acquisition & Sourcing Specialist

Job Description

Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Seneca to support the delivery of Talent Acquisition processes and programs for centralized staff recruitment, with a focus on infusing equity and diversity into all stages of the recruitment process. Talent Acquisition Specialist supports all full-cycle recruitment, proactive sourcing, ensuring an optimal candidate experience, and building continuous improvement into all Talent Acquisition practices.

Note: this is a hybrid position, in office once every two (2) weeks, more as required.

Responsibilities:

Talent Attraction

  • Strong understanding of a multitude of talent sourcing channels, recruitment tools and technology, to effectively execute sourcing strategies and to attract the highest level of talent to the organization:
  • Develops and implements strategies to recruit diverse talent and identifies new recruitment sources and channels.
  • Develops and maintains a pipeline of candidates for immediate and future hires.

Planning and Strategy

  • Strategizes through the use of data and analytics to execute the recruitment process, support hiring managers to meet the resource requirements and bring a focus to equity and diversity goals.
  • Plans effective Talent Acquisition strategies and provides support throughout the recruitment process.
  • Contributes to continuous improvement of Talent Acquisition policies and procedures
  • Stays current with best practices in the field and recommends changes to improve practices and to ensure a positive candidate experience.

Legislative, Collective Agreement and Policy Compliance

  • Ensures compliance with employment legislation, collective agreements, and Seneca’s policies.
  • Conducts all Talent Acquisition activities with Seneca’s values and strategic objectives in mind.

Qualifications:

Education

  • A minimum of a completed three (3) year diploma/degree in Human Resource Management or related field.
  • CHRL (Certified Human Resource Leader) designation considered an asset.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years experience executing end-to-end recruitment process with a focus on embedding the principles of equity and diversity with recruitment best practices and optimizing the candidate experience
  • Previous experience working within a unionized environment is considered an asset.

Skills

  • Understanding of the end-to-end recruitment process, and the ability to recruit and source at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent project management, planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to influence and communicate with impact.
