Full-Time Talent Acquisition Manager (Req#2797)

Location: Lynn, MA

The Manager of Talent Acquisition will be responsible for directing Eastern Bank’s efforts to attract and recruit top talent across all divisions and levels of the Company, while helping to ensure that our talent reflects the communities we serve.  The Manager will assist in the creation and execution of Eastern’s Talent Acquisition’s strategy while ensuring it aligns with Eastern’s talent needs, culture, mission, and values.  The Manager will partner with business leaders on their strategic hiring initiatives to create and meet Eastern’s recruiting goals. The Manager will manage and lead the Talent Acquisition team, overseeing Eastern’s talent sourcing strategy and execution, while managing resource allocation, third party and vendor relationships and the career website.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, motivate, and mentor a team of recruiters, providing guidance and support in their roles to meet the needs of Eastern’s hiring plans.
  • Champion diversity, equity and inclusion and ensure Eastern’s commitment to its core values are reflected in all aspects of hiring practices. Develop and lead strategic initiatives to enhance diversity equity and inclusion in all aspects of the hiring and onboarding practices.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from sourcing and identifying top-tier talent to onboarding new hires. Promote Eastern’s employer brand through various channels including social media, career fairs and community partnerships. Foster a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
  • Contribute to the identification of internal talent and promote internal career mobility.
  • Build strong relationships with hiring partners across the organization. Create and maintain processes that ensure consistent, inclusive, and equitable experiences for candidates and hiring partners.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, labor market conditions, and talent acquisition best practices including new recruitment tools, candidate engagement and innovative sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent understanding of measuring performance through metrics and KPIs with the ability to tell a story through data and assess effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with community organizations to expand talent pools and promote Eastern as an employer of choice.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience managing, leading and empowering talent organizations with an emphasis on building high performing diverse teams in growth environments.
  • Experience driving change and innovation for improved efficiency and demonstrating measurable impact through data.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, influence and negotiate.
  • Proficient with applicant tracking systems and recruiting tools.
  • Familiarity with employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment best practices through the DEI lens

While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.  The employee frequently is required to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.  The employee is frequently required to move about inside the office to access workstations, office machinery, and other equipment.  They also occasionally travel to locations outside of the facility, to attend meetings, trainings, events, and other business activities. The employee must have the ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.  Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. The employee must have near visual acuity for working on a computer, far visual acuity, and peripheral vision necessary for driving a motor vehicle.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move boxes or equipment up to 50 pounds across office for various needs.

Persons holding this position are generally subject to inside environmental conditions having the lighting, temperature, and noise level of an open floor-plan office environment (moderate, but occasionally loud at times). This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Occasionally the employee will need to move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, e.g., under desks and server rooms.  They occasionally will be required to travel to other work locations.
