G2 Software Systems has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Windows/Linux systems administrator & DevSecOps engineer to join our innovative team in San Diego, CA. Your Role and Responsibilities:
• Managing and maintaining local client machines on Navy/DOD networks in keeping with all necessary cybersecurity processes and in coordination with NIWC PAC ROC/SOC/Cloud RDT&E procedures.
• Managing and maintaining AWS-hosted EC2 instances & volumes to keep up with security vulnerabilities and patches
• Installing upgrades to hosted application software
• Troubleshooting client, server, and network problems/issues
• Professional Windows and Linux systems administration
What You’ll Need:
• Professional certification qualifying the candidate for IAT II systems administrator status (e.g. CompTIA Security+, Linux+, etc.).
• Strong Windows systems administration experience (3 or more years), including:
o Networking, storage, and backup knowledge
o Experience imaging Windows 11 machines
o Experience with Domain Controllers and Active Directory
o Experience with AWS and with VMWare/ESXi
o Experience managing Windows user accounts and accounts on hosted applications
o Experience updating BIOS, driver packages, etc.
• Strong Linux experience required (3 or more years), including Linux STIGs, file systems, permissions, paths, symbolic links, etc.
• DevSecOps experience with tools such as Git, JIRA, Jenkins, Confluence, etc., with a focus on cybersecurity (e.g. HBSS, WSUS, ACAS scans, ACAS Console GUI, DISA STIGs, etc.).
• Experience with tools like Putty, MobaXterm, SSH, etc.
• This position requires an individual to be a US citizen and either have, or be able to obtain, and retain a DoD clearance.
Location:
This hybrid position offers the perfect balance between remote flexibility and in-person collaboration. You’ll report to our San Diego, CA location at least once a week in-person, with occasional additional days to support workloads.
Compensation and Benefits:
The compensation range for this position in California is $120,000/year to $150,000/year; however, however, G2 offers competitive compensation within a range based on your expertise, market location conditions, and government contract specifics. Our benefits package includes a full range of medical coverage, a 401k plan, and an Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), and other benefits dependent on the position offered, ensuring you are well-rewarded for your contributions, expertise, and dedication. Base compensation information is based on market location.
