Full-Time Supply Chain and Logistics Manager
Job Description
LHH is working with a manufacturing company in Mocksville that needs a new Supply Chain and Logistics Manager. This role will report directly into the Plant Manager who we placed there! He isn’t a micromanager and trusts that his team members will do their job effectively. He is easy to get along with and even-keeled! This company is rapidly expanding and bringing some of their raw materials into manufacturing on-site! That will further limit supply chain disruptions and they have a steady consumer-base. They would love someone who has experience in automotive who has done a lot of in-the-weeds work with EDI. They are willing to relocate someone for this role! Here’s what you should know:
Duties:
-Production planning: Knowing the production orders coming in – working with Production Manager across three shifts.
-Logistics: Overseeing all aspects of shipping and receiving. Managing a moving target where just in time inventory is concerned.
-Supply chain management: currently working off of a SKU count of 10 items that are coming from the parent company
-Managing reports for senior leadership alongside the rest of the Management team
Experience Required:
-At least four years’ experience in supply chain and logistics management
-Software skills: Excel and PDF
-EDI transmission experience – need candidates who have worked with 856 and 830 files and can speak in great detail about their “in the weeds” experience with EDI
-Open to seeing someone who hasn’t held a Manager or Supervisor title
Preferred:
-Experience working with just in time (JIT) inventory model
-Would love someone with automotive manufacturing experience
-SAP B1 experience – it’s not fully operating as their ERP but they’re implementing that (about 75% of the way there now. Can be used to create work order, move inventory out of raw materials, process logistics.) It’s not matching the amount of inventory required to match demand
-German or Spanish speaking
-Bachelor’s degree

-Go-getter with a can-do attitude
-Team player and not operating like they’re on an island
-Tolerance for colorful language (just swearing)
-Thick skin and attitude of being able receive constructive feedback and move on
-Able to operate autonomously
-Compensation for this role will be anywhere between $75-90K – they would need someone who was a perfect “plug and play” fit for the $90K mark. This role is not currently bonus eligible.
