Full-Time Supply Chain Analyst
Job Description
The Supply Chain Business Analyst supports the Bulk Fluid Transportation team by helping the team extract meaning from large volumes of data and improve how we understand, operate, and streamline productivity for Darigold’s Bulk Fluid Transportation network. You should be comfortable digging deep into data to identify opportunities and discover insights that will help drive productivity for a $50M+ transportation network. You will be responsible for modeling complex/abstract problems and discovering insights using statistical and data visualization techniques. You will retrieve, visualize, and present critical data in a format that is immediately useful to improve the decision-making process. This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities as well as outstanding business acumen.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)
- Use analytical and statistical rigor to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.
- Analyze historical data related to Bulk Fluid Transportation flows, financials, bulk fluid inventory, storage capacity etc. to identify trends and insights.
- Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, analyses, and dashboards using SQL, advanced Excel, and Power BI to drive key business decisions.
- Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve business understanding.
- Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format.
- Perform deep-dives and root cause analysis to answer business questions.
- Effectively communicate (written and verbal) solutions and methodologies to senior leadership.
- Review, analyze, and model business processes and information flows using appropriate analysis techniques to identify opportunities for improvement and quantify financial impact of different courses of action
- Assist in delivery of changes to business processes by partnering with operational managers.
- Effectively communicate with key stakeholders at all levels and in all departments of the company to ensure their engagement and support of business improvement activities.
- Complete all other tasks and projects as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Proficient in extracting and manipulating large datasets
- Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI, DAX, and other analytical skills for data extraction and analysis
- Familiarity with VBA, python, or R programing languages is a plus
- Strong analytical/critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel occasionally (regional within the Darigold PNW footprint)
Education, Experience and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Economics, Operations Research, Business Administration, industrial engineering, or closely related discipline
- Prior work experience in similar capacity preferred
- MBA or Masters in Supply Chain Management preferred
- Experience in developing requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting, familiarity with data visualization tools, e.g., Power BI
- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, or other structured process improvement methodologies a plus
