Full-Time Supervisor Juvenile Correctional Officer (Recovery Specialist III)
Job Description
Bright Futures is a youth-centered, family-focused residential substance abuse treatment program for adolescent males in Methuen, Massachusetts. The program teaches youth the skills necessary to maintain drug-free, pro-social lifestyles. Program participants follow a structured weekly schedule consisting of individual and family counseling, recovery-focused group meetings, life skills training, academic instruction and recreational activities.
The Supervisor Juvenile Correctional Officer (Recovery Specialist III) maintains primary responsibility for the safety and security of residents and staff on the assigned shift; ensures that behavior management protocols are applied consistently; oversees Recovery Specialist I and Recovery Specialist II personnel; maintains the orderliness of the program milieu by ensuring adherence to structure and schedules. This position may be required to work mandatory overtime to meet program needs.
Pay rate: $17.50 – $18.00/hr.

Qualifications:
- Two to four years or equivalent experience with at-risk youth preferred.
- Ability to assess a situation independently and deal with youth emergency and crisis situations.
- Maturity and problem solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and authoritatively are essential qualities of the position.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
