£23,697 – £24,268 per annum, pro rata
14.5 hours per week
The working pattern is Monday to Tuesday 7.25 hours per day
38 weeks per annum, paid for 43.13 weeks per annum

This is a maternity cover and is fixed term until approximately 31st May 2024
Our Study Coaches offer one-to-one and small group support to students from across our range of courses. Study coaches work with students outside of lesson times on areas such as:
· English
· Maths
· Assignments/coursework
· Study skills
· Using assistive software
· Support with specific learning difficulties
Study coaches can work with 16-18 and 19+ students on a varied range of courses, subjects and levels. This can include supporting students studying:
- Entry level English and maths with underpinning skills such as spelling or learning times tables.
- GCSE or Functional Skills English & maths with revision, practicing specific topics and preparation for exams.
- L1, L2 and L3 Vocational courses with assignments and coursework such as research, planning, proofreading and time management.
- Foundation degree and degree level students with assignments and coursework such as understanding assignments, research and referencing.
Study coaches are part of our SEND faculty. Study coach’s support is open to all our students, and support is often accessed by neurodiverse students such as those with dyslexia, ADHD, ASD, etc. Some of these students may also have Education, Health & Care Plans (EHCPs). Being a study coach is a wonderful opportunity help a wide range of students achieve success at the college!
Study coaches are based within our English and Maths Hubs and students often drop-in to make appointments or discuss the support they require. Study coaches will also liaise with colleagues such as SENCOs, course tutors, student performance managers for referrals and planning student support. The post also includes some administration such as recording students’ study coach sessions using the ProMonitor system, regular team meetings, and ongoing CPD.
