Role
The Senior Sales Development Representative is a target driven inside sales role, focused on researching potential clients across identified verticals and markets and initiating introductory communication with relevant prospects in order to generate qualified sales leads with new clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieving target monthly qualified leads for the Sales team
- Research and identify potential client contacts to initiate communication with
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive and up to date understanding of Codec’s offer to clients in order to create relevant and engaging outreach communication to send to prospects
- Adopt best practice and innovative but relevant communication approaches to shape your outreach comms
- Continually evaluate and track the effectiveness of approaches and copy used, in order to improve and inform this for future outreach.
- Leverage LinkedIn and Email as your primary communication channels to reach prospects and keep up to date with LI functionality relevant to business development
- Log all activity on relevant trackers and systems e.g. Hubspot
- Contribute to the business development strategy and suggest ideas for new target verticals and markets based on your knowledge of Codec’s offering and the external market
- Share best practice and successful approach strategies with others in the Business Development team in order to maximise success across the team
- Support the wider Business Development team on other activities and projects as required.
- A confident and experienced Sales Development Representative with prior experience of lead generation in a consumer insights or martech business
- A target driven self starter, with a proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets
- A good understanding of brands, brand challenges relating to consumers and how in-house marketing teams are structured
- Interested in media, marketing and culture and can use this to engage clients effectively
- Confident communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Organised and good at working to pace
- Technically minded with Google Sheets, Google Docs and Keynote skills
