Full-Time Strategic Partnerships Deputy Director
Job Description
The Deputy Director of Strategic Partnerships will be a critical member of the National partnerships and constituency engagement team, they will provide strategic support to the senior director to ensure the department is achieving goals effectively. This position involves providing strategic advice, fostering interdepartmental collaboration, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and objectives. The position will support our engagement and partnerships efforts with national organizations that focus on veterans and center-right audiences. This person will liaise between partnerships and internal departments to support credible messengers and cultural competency. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of non-profit operations, and a passion for social impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning and Support:
- Collaborate on strategic planning and implementation with the Senior Director
- Collaborate with the Associate Director to develop insights and recommendations to create qualitative and quantitative metrics to measure departmental performance
- Assist the Senior Director to ensure that departmental activities align with the overall mission and strategic goals of the organization
- Support the Senior Director in communicating the priorities & goals to foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment
- Managing constituency consultants
- Interdepartmental Coordination:
- Promote effective communication and collaboration between departments.(Drafting agendas, taking meeting notes, ensuring that communication of deliverables and needs are happening cross-departmentally)
- Attend regular interdepartmental meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities
- Operational support:
- Monitor and evaluate departmental activities and projects. (Salesforce)
- Support the Senior Director in the development and management of budgets
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures. (GRAM, Egencia, Concur)
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners partners as needed
- Assist in outreach efforts as needed
Qualifications
- Graduate degree or relevant experience
- 7+ years of work experience in non-profit operations, or advocacy, with demonstrated experience managing 2 or more full time staff
- 2+ years of management/leadership experience
- Experience managing and mentoring staff
- Experience editing and proofreading with quick turnaround times
- Track record of facilitating partnerships, meetings, convenings and building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- A commitment to social justice
- Passion for coaching and developing junior team members, and fostering a positive culture as a manager
- Strong critical thinking skills and business judgment, with the ability to develop problem-solving strategies and adapt those strategies as needed
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Ability to perform in a fast-moving environment and to deliver timely and high-quality work
- Strong work ethic, sense of humor, flexibility, creativity, and a professional demeanor
- Ability to work in a sometimes-hectic, open-plan office at least 3 days per week

- Exceptional project management skills
- 15% Travel

The annual salary range for this position is $125,000-$135,000. Everytown offers a generous benefits package including Medical, Dental and Vision benefits, PTO, 401K Match, Education Assistance and more.
