Job Description

State Account Manager – IT Consulting and Staffing Services. This position will take responsibility for directly overseeing public-sector Statewide IT Services contracts and will work to grow opportunities through positive relationship building within appropriate State Government structures. This role requires outstanding relationship, communication, and interpersonal skills combined with prior experience dealing with the complexities of large public sector service contracts.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pre-existing high-volume public sector IT Staffing and Services contract.
  • Grow opportunities by developing positive relationships with points of contact throughout State Government structure such as Contracting Officers, Department Heads, and Liaisons as well as others.
  • Communicate new requirements in a qualitative manner to Consulting team for execution.
  • Assist with bid and proposal process to include Requests for Pricing (RFPs) related to new opportunities within and outside of existing contract.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to understand and effectively articulate and implement the shared vision of the client.
  • Provide a consultative and value-added approach to develop relationships.
  • Participate and actively share in internal sales meetings.
  • Prepare sales reports showcasing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5+ years’ experience working in IT staffing industry managing public sector contracts at the Statewide level
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of generating new business through prospecting
  • Proven history of successful quota achievement and large/medium account penetration and execution
  • Resourcefulness in thinking outside of the box regarding sourcing and new client development
  • Experience of managing a large IT staffing client or MSP
  • Experience working with CRM systems
  • Experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as needed
