About the Role

Salary: $55,000-60,000

CP is looking for a Sr. Program Manager to contribute to the critical growth of the organization. The successful candidate will lead the strategy and implementation of CP’s programming while leading the expansion of CP’s school and community partnerships.
This person will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the curriculum delivery, program budget, and program staff. Reporting to the Executive Director, this individual will work closely with the leadership team, program interns and fellows, community partners, youth participants, and volunteers.

Chica Project is looking for someone who is mission-driven, with a positive attitude to help build and expand our programming at a critical moment of growth for our organization. This is a dynamic role where the ideal candidate will bring strong emotional intelligence, will serve as a role model to our young people, and have a proven ability to help individuals and teams achieve their full potential. While the Sr. Program Manager will work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment many programing projects will be self-directed and will require someone with an entrepreneurial spirit that can work in a fast-paced nonprofit environment. The ideal candidate will have had experience working with young people (ages 11-18). Further qualifications include:

  • Passionate about youth development, social justice, and community building
  • A minimum of 3-4 years experience in Program Management (recruitment, execution, multitasking, delegating, event planning, and data management)
  • Experience in Non-profit, or other professional services organizations strongly preferred
  • Ability to build strong trusting relationships with diverse individuals, develop community connections, and influence change
  • Experience in curriculum development and facilitation experience for youth programs
  • Ability to manage individual programming budget
  • Experience working with communities of color and grassroots organizations, with a nuanced understanding of systemic oppressions
  • Flexibility and adaptability, able to shift styles to fit the needs of a wide range of cultures, people, and organizations (independently or in teams as needed)
  • Flexibility to work occasional nights and weekends
  • Strong work ethic, leadership, organizational skills combined with attention to details
  • Excellent problem-solving ability

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual: Proficiency or fluency in Spanish is preferred but not required
  • Salesforce experience is a plus but not necessary
  • Diversity and Inclusion training experience is a plus
  • Willing to commit for more than one year is a plus
  • A great sense of humor!
  • Love of continuous learning

Responsibilities

The position will be mainly responsible for the following areas, but duties can expand beyond central responsibilities of:

Programming and Program Evaluation (60%)

  • Set strategy and directly manage CP’s mentor, peer leader, community-based, and school-based programs
  • Implement CP’s curriculum delivery model, its development, and revisions
  • Ensure ongoing programmatic excellence through rigorous evaluation meeting its data development and analytical goals

Strategic Growth and Innovation (20%)

  • Manage new and existing school partners
  • Establish relationships with community leaders in the sector
  • Lead program expansion and delivery
  • Implement curriculum pricing model

Leadership & Management (20%)

  • Coach and supervise program team (staff, interns, and fellows)
  • Manage yearly program budget
  • Support in hiring, onboarding, and evaluation of program staff
