Job Description:
- Perform Release management of Pega application production and test environments.
- Work with the administration and development teams to ensure that designs effectively accommodate long-term maintainability, supportability, robustness, and scalability of software solutions
- Provide level-1 Production support for Pega-based systems
- Troubleshoot live production issues and short-term as well as long-term solution implementation.
- Work closely with administrators, architects, and other support teams to ensure applications are performing well and within agreed upon SLAs.
Responsibilities:
- Advanced troubleshooting of live production issues and short-term as well as long-term solution implementation
- Provide off-hour on-call support as required
- Incident management and trend analysis
- Keep abreast of product patches, including minor and major version releases
- Regular RAP deployments from non-production through production environments
- Evaluate merits and risks of upgrades; coordinate with appropriate staff to execute patches to deployed applications; monitoring day-to-day operational health of deployed applications
- Implement and enforce operational health of PEGA PRPC application
- Update appropriate system level documentation and knowledge base documentation
- Advise development team on performance improving solutions
- Work with SSO team to create and maintain SSO polices for the Pega application.
- Support SVT testing and working with Pega for solutions.
- Conduct disaster recovery drills on a scheduled basis
- Support Pega CICD pipelines to continuous delivery
Required Experience:
- 5+ years related work experience
- Related Bachelor’s degree or additional related equivalent work experience IT related field
- Experience installing and configuring PEGA upgrades
- Pega PRPC Migration experience
- HTML5, JavaScript, Java
- Experience with Relational databases and concepts — Oracle SQL, PL/SQL etc.
- Ability to debug and fix as part of the development/support process and should have experience in Integration components (services, connectors, etc.), frameworks, reporting, agents, authentication and rule resolution
- Web services, Rest API experience
- Configuration and development of the Pega rule components
- Demonstrated experience in Systems Administration and Analysis
- Strong experience in the Analysis and Tuning of RDBMS
- Strong JVM experience
- Strong Linux Administration experience
- Experience with application/platform performance monitoring tools such as PAL, PMI, AES and Windows Performance Monitor
- Web application experience in WebSphere Liberty App Server (WebSphere/JBOSS/Tomcat experience an advantage)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated experience in PEGA PRPC Administration 8.x
- Agile/ Scrum development methodology experience
- Good Understanding of CICD using Jenkins and other open source tools
- -Web application experience in WebSphere Liberty App Server (WebSphere/JBOSS/Tomcat experience an advantage)
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Related Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or relevant work experience
- 5-8 years of Pega Admin. experience required (installing/configuring PEGA upgrades)
- 3+years of Pega Development experience required
- Advanced troubleshooting of live production issues and short-term as well as long-term solution implementation
- Configuration and development of the Pega rule components
- Development experience using HTML5, JavaScript, Java, etc.
- Experience with Relational databases and concepts — Oracle SQL, PL/SQL etc.
- Experience with application/platform performance monitoring tools such as PAL, PMI, AES and Windows Performance Monitor
