Full-Time Sr. Manager, Retail Operations
Job Description
Warby Parker is on the lookout for a driven Senior Manager of Retail Operations to oversee the execution of all projects impacting our growing Retail fleet. In this role, you’ll uphold operational excellence through validating our processes, supporting special initiatives, escalating business opportunities, and ensuring continuity. As a key member of our Retail Operations team, you’ll strategize with the Director of Retail Operations and other leaders across the company to develop roadmaps that will make our store teams even more impactful and efficient. What you’ll do:
- Maximize productivity and profitability by leading the execution of all key Retail and Vision Service projects
- Oversee our New Store Opening team; be the operations point person for Store Development and Design teams
- Partner with our Store Systems team on planning and executing Retail and Vision Service technology projects
- Innovate and uphold on vendor management within Service Channel by overseeing our Retail Facilities arm of the team
- Build a renovation and remodel program for our existing Retail footprint in partnership with the Finance, Strategy and Store Design teams
- Maintain and develop evolving support areas related to store supplies and tickets
- Collaborate with the Retail Strategy team to drive bookings and growth initiatives
- Review and analyze key metrics as they relate to Retail projects to determine effectiveness and scalability
- Lead a team of 12, including two direct reports; build team camaraderie, and prioritize individual development needs
- Be on-call evenings and weekends as needed based on the department schedule, special project rollouts, etc.
Who you are:
- Backed by 6+ years of experience managing retail operations
- A team player who communicates well—e.g., clearly, kindly, often—within our department and across the company
- An organizational powerhouse (your calendars and spreadsheets are color-coded masterpieces)
- Equipped with sharp-as-a-tack technical and management skills
- A self-motivated manager who’s able to lead, grow, and sustain a highly engaged team
- Able to prioritize tasks and juggle responsibilities simultaneously
- A G Suite pro
Extra credit:
- Prior retail experience in the field and corporate office
