Job Description

The position is within BCMA Technology which is focused on automating and modernizing operations while implementing and leveraging cross product shared services opportunities. The position is for an experienced Database Developer for building data processing pipeline for Data Globe service Platform with expertise in Database, Data warehousing and ETL technologies to be part of its ongoing digital transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• As a global team member, analyze and collaborate technical solutions and strategies with the team and provide the optimum solution for our clients.
• Own success – Takes responsibility for successful delivery of the solutions. Mentoring other developer on their implementation while needed, and organize review activities like design review, code review and technical document review etc. to make sure the success deliverable.
• Explore existing application systems, determines areas of complexity, potential risks to successful implementation
• Communicate continually with the client and project teams – Clarify client’s needs, present tech team ideas and explains progress on the development efforts.
• Contributes to continual improvement by suggesting improvements to software architecture, software development process and new technologies etc.
• Strictly follow Client’s engineering standards and ensure these are followed across all modules in the project.
• Perform code & design reviews consistently.
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.

Technology Skills:
• Must have expert level (hands-on) knowledge and understanding in with MS SQL Server/ Oracle and NoSQL
• Development of data extraction, transformation and loading processes using SQL Server, SSIS, Stored Procs
• Data Modelling – dimensional/reporting, data warehousing and transactional use cases (Physical and Logical modelling)
• Performance optimizations on SQL Server/ Oracle, SQL tuning and investigation of bottlenecks
• Evaluation of tools and technologies for data processing
• Ability to translate architecture and low-level requirements to design and code using SQL
• Must have Hands-on MongoDB experience and how to design the best MongoDB schema for a given application
• Knowledge on various Mongodb libraries and apis for different programming languages and platform
• Demonstrate an understanding of the differences between typical relational and NoSQL database development and access methodologies
• Must be able to design logical and physical data models for performance aligned to business use cases
• Ability to import external flat files, csv and excel files into mongo collections.
• Deep understanding of how SQL and NoSQL work in order to provide top notch performance from complex queries
• Hands on SQL features – Indexes, Partitioning, Bulk loads, DB configuration, AlwaysOn, Security/Roles
• Scale and optimize performance via schema design, query tuning, and index creation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python/Java/JavaScript/Shell scripting or similar
• Experience developing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting Python scripts
• Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices

Qualifications:
• Minimum of 5 years of Extensive experience in SQL Server/ Oracle and must have in depth architecture knowledge of SQL engine and Extraction-Transformation-Loading process (SSIS)
• SQL Management Studio, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, and Integration Service
• 3+ years MongoDB development, DB performance tuning, aggregation framework experience, and query profiling
• 2+ years of Elastic stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, Kibana) experience is preferable

Education:
• Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
