Full-Time Sr. Accountant
Job Description
SRI International is looking for a Senior Accountant to be an integral contributor to our finance and business operations and will have a broad range of responsibilities, to include all aspects of the monthly close, GL responsibilities, fulfilling external reporting requirements, and developing process efficiencies. This will be a remote opportunity within the U.S.

Duties:
Evaluate and perform balance sheet reconciliations that are complete, accurate, and fully supported by appropriate evidence in compliance with U.S. GAAP and other accounting regulations
Analyze and review month end close activities for discrepancies, coding errors and other issues that should be researched, and resolved or brought to management’s attention, including preparation, review, upload, and posting of journal entries
Coordinate and prepare monthly/quarterly flux analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts and make recommendations to correct errors as appropriate
Work cross-functionally with other departments to provide financial insights and relevant reporting
Identify & maintain the internal controls over accounting processes and systems
Participate in system implementations and process improvements by monitoring and assessing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement, and drive optimization
Assist preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes
Provide wide range of support for financial statement audits and tax filings
Conduct special research and projects for the G/L and other ad hoc projects as needed
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or 4 years related experience in lieu of degree and 5+ years of experience in accounting and finance with complex structures
Experience with accounting systems, such as Deltek Costpoint, Cognos, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Hyperion or related required; Costpoint preferred.
Demonstrated experience with general ledger, journal entry preparation, monthly & annual close processes
Knowledge of accounting principles/practices, internal controls, & variance analysis
U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required

Colorado Residents – salary range $81,000 – $107,000
