Part-Time Sports Information Assistant
Job Description
Elmira College is a private liberal arts College located in the Finger Lakes region of New York. Seeking innovative professionals from diverse academic and cultural backgrounds to fill the position of Part-time Sports Information Assistant to join the Sports Information team. This is a 10-month, exempt position.
The Sports Information Assistant supports and guides day-to-day sports information communications within Elmira College Intercollegiate Athletics. This position is responsible for maintaining a statistical database of all college-sponsored sports, recording and coordinating contest statistics, reporting scores, and writing various stories. This position maintains the website, coordinates media outlets, video streaming, live statistics, photography, video production, and production of graphics. The ASID oversees and provides content for social media accounts. He or she assists in hiring, training, and oversight of student-worker staff. This position reports to the Sports Information Director and operates in accordance with NCAA Division III conference regulations, Elmira College policies, and department standards.
Qualified applicants should possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a valid driver’s license. At least 1 year of experience in athletic communications and/or sports information required. Experience working with Stat Crew, Genius Sports, and/or PrestoSports statistical software required. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign is a plus. Applicants should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Status: Part-time Seasonal (10-month)
Basis of Pay: Salary
Rate of Pay: $10,000 + graduate tuition waiver (free master’s degree) benefit for employee-only.
Location: On-Site (not remote)
