The role: The Software QA Tester will be responsible for evaluating software functions and designing test protocols to ensure that products work as intended.  The Software QA Tester will also be responsible for completing all testing procedures, suggesting plan inputs, and preparing reports for the development teams.

 

What you will do:

  • Partner with development teams to discuss software requirements and specifications.
  • Utilize the software as intended to analyze its functional properties and its non-functional properties.
  • Design manual and some automated test procedures to evaluate each software product.
  • Run test programs to ensure that testing protocols evaluate the software correctly.
  • Modify the software testing systems for maximum performance.
  • Finalize and document testing procedures.
  • Complete final tests and create test reports.
  • Present test reports to QA Manager and suggesting software fixes.
  • Tracking defects through completion.

 

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a similar field or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in software quality assurance. Experience in database skills, mainly in SQL.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally to deliver results.
  • Understanding of basic programming concepts.
  • Familiar in development of scripting for web applications using platforms such as Selenium, Java preferred.
  • Experience with GitHub, CI/CD tools, Mac/Windows/Linux, AWS/Cloud.
  • Active practice of Agile and Scrum methodologies.

 

Additional eligibility qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal, written and group communication and presentation skills; ability to utilize communication skills to effectively influence across functions and business units as well as across different leadership levels.
  • Excellent organizational & analytical skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Results-driven and execution-oriented personality, ready to take ownership and get results.
  • Strong empathy for customers and a passion for revenue and growth.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, SharePoint.
  • Other qualifications as required.

 

Core Business Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F, Hybrid; these hours may vary depending upon your position and work requirements.

 

Status: Exempt

 

Location: Brentwood, TN. HYBRID 3 days in-office, 2 days remote).
