Summary:
This position is accountable for generating and maintaining the contractual, administrative, and applicable service activities as related to new sales, retention and cancellation of group business for all product lines. This position is the internal sales liaison with key internal stakeholders and key external clients, which include but is not limited to members, agents, consultants, group administrators, key decision makers, outside vendors (eBenX, Ceridian, etc.) and providers, with the accountability of daily interactions to successfully implement, renew and maintain group business.
Essential functions:
- Directly accountable for Pre-calculation, final rating calculation and collection of new group premium for all lines of business (Health, Dental, Life, AD&D, STD, LTD, etc.)
- Evaluate and analyze new group and renewal business which includes Medical Underwriting questionnaires, approved Plan/RX combinations, agent fee, agent coding, recommend divisional set up, proof enrollment summary and verify with UCT6, audit of all employee applications for missing data and coordinate with group contact for submission of missing data.
- Accountable for preparation and audit of all required legal and corporate documents
- Accountable for creating all required sales documents and legal contracts necessary in order for functional areas within the organization to implement and renew business; set up master group files for financial accuracy and billing, set up files for claims processing and customer service benefit accuracy and set up processing/maintaining of group enrollment of groups and members in a timely and accurate manner.
- Accountable for tracking and monitoring the internal progress of new and renewed groups.
- Excellent understanding of workflow processes and tolls which support customer acquisition and maintenance process.
- Customer focused in directing, orchestrating, following up and resolving Decision Maker, Group contact, Provider, consultant, agent and customer issues. Also accountable for coordinating the resolution of the issues presented by the Sales representatives, Field Service Representatives and Sales Management.
- Proficient utilization of Operational systems; RBMS, MHS, Inquiry control, Legacy, VO to assist with the resolution of customer and group contact issues.
- Internal sales experts regarding benefits and product knowledge, which includes all Product lines, Client and FCL. With increasing migration and development of new products this has become essential to the success of communicating both internally and externally.
- Assist with the development of customized materials to enhance product and educational needs of the members and group administrators.
- Responsible for administering and complying with Federal and State laws and mandates.
- Support or act as Sales liaison in the absence of Sales Management on workgroups and special projects.
- Provide internal and external sales assistance to agents, group administrators and group decision makers in the absence of the Sales Representatives and FSR’s.
- Change Agent accountable for aligning amongst various business processes and tools to facilitate the initiation of new and renewed groups.
- SME’s for sales systems and new tools; FGMS, e-Rate*** e-Analysis. Collaborate with developers in designing of applications utilized by FGS’s throughout the GBU’s. Accountable for developing test scripts, User Acceptance testing for Corporate and User Acceptance testing in a Production environment, develop formal technical training and train the trainer on a regional and statewide basis and assist with writing materials for the instructional manuals. Incumbents are required to travel to coordinate the testing and training.
- Assist with developing material for employee educational meetings, assist at Health Fairs, and assist with coordination of Benefit Managers seminars. Includes but not limited to: Answering benefit questions, passing out educational materials and providing giveaways.
- Coordinate, interpret, validate, and compile customized monthly/upon request presentations for >50 groups including request of specialized reports, development of ad hoc reports and transferring of data into excel spreadsheets, including health trends, and key reports.
- Develop comparison documents for Large Group renewals, which entail previous benefit design to new benefit design.
Job requirements:
- Intermediate skills in a Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- A proven ability to handle multiple assignments

Required Work Experience:
- 0-2 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of transferable experience and education
Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED
