Terminus is hiring an accomplished Site Reliability Engineer to help us create an industry leading Account-Based Marketing platform that allows B2B marketers to do ABM at scale. This role will be pivotal in helping our teams build, scale, and deliver the best-in-class ABM platform on the market to our customers.  This will include working closely with product development teams to provide guidance and coordination on systems, applications and environments, and to increase the success and reliability of product applications and services in production.

Responsibilities

    • Engage in and improve the whole lifecycle of services—from inception and design through deployment, operation and refinement
    • Support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews
    • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health
    • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms like automation, and evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity
    • Practice sustainable incident response collaboration and review

Traits of Success

    • Interest in designing, analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems
    • Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with strong communication skills and a sense of ownership and drive
    • Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks
    • Positive enablement / service mindset for working with development teams
    • A passion for elevating development teams’ flow through site reliability engineering practices

Qualifications

    • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field involving coding, or equivalent practical experience
    • Experience / experimentation in one or more of the following: Go, Java, C#
    • Experience in building, maintaining and monitoring distributed systems for development teams
    • Terraform or other automated Cloud service provisioning mechanisms
    • Experience running production systems on a major cloud provider
    • Experience / experimentation with Kubernetes

Preferred Experience with the following:

    • AWS
    • Docker in a production environment
    • Experience / experimentation with Docker Swarm, Amazon ECS, or similar container scheduling system
