In this role, you will design, build and deploy solutions\enhancements to existing SharePoint systems with existing example solutions\code but limited detailed requirements. Additionally, this position will maintain updated troubleshooting and equipment-related documentation and support escalations from the Application Support Team. The role will also review quality of work of Software Engineer I and provide mentoring, training and escalation support.
What this position does to contribute to the Company’s success:
- Develops and administers SharePoint code, applications and systems to support Cable One business initiatives.
- Performs implementation of new hardware and/or software as it relates to active Cable One projects.
- Maintains and troubleshoots systems such as applications (custom and 3rd party), reports and/or database logic.
- Provides support and general maintenance and support of third-party applications including communications with vendors.
- Participates in the on call rotation to deploy, support and troubleshoot applications after hours.
- Manages and troubleshoots all support tickets escalated by the Software Specialist Team or Software Engineer I.
- Provide escalation monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of issues escalated from other organizations within Cable One.
- Examines, evaluates, troubleshoots, applications deployed to IT servers.
- Troubleshoots application and interface communications over an IP network.
- Analyzes project requests to estimate time and cost required to accomplish project.
- Works as part of a project team to coordinate software environments and determine project scope and limitations.
- Takes on other duties needed to help drive our Purpose, fulfill our Brand Principles, and abide by our Organization’s Values.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or four years related experience and/or training in SharePoint administration and development and programming languages such as .NET or Java; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and development experience with SharePoint 2010, 2016 and SharePoint Online environments and applications.
- Intermediate knowledge and development experience with Microsoft Teams applications preferred.
- Advanced certification in Programming Languages such as .Net or Java preferred
- Intermediate certification in database or operating systems preferred.
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be a self-starter with sound problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be flexible and a team player.
- Position may require up to 10% travel.
