Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Share Point Administrator/Developer to manage, develop, and support our Share Point environments. Are you someone who is always looking to learn and grow, and find solutions that are innovative and efficient? If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.

 

Sharepoint Administrator

Salary: £35,000 to £40,000

Full time: 35 hours per week

Location: Remote with occasional travel

 

About us

The Property Ombudsman provides an impartial and independent service, free to consumers, helping to resolve disputes between consumers and Property Agents. We are the largest Ombudsman scheme in the sector and the only one to operate Codes of Practice to raise standards and share best practice in the industry.  As a not-for-profit organisation, we have been providing an impartial dispute resolution service since 1990.

 

Job Summary

 

You will be an experienced and capable SharePoint Administrator / Developer with a proven track record in setting up and configuring SharePoint sites. You’ll be adept at handling change, including changing requirements. You are considered an expert by your colleagues and are happy to share your knowledge with others and have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

 

You will have worked extensively with core SharePoint functionality as well as functionality provided by add-ons, apps, and integrations. You will have experience in configuring SharePoint to produce custom reports based on colleagues’ needs. You also keep up to date with developments in the SharePoint and wider Microsoft 365 ecosystem and consider how they may add value to TPO.

 

What we are looking for

  • Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint issues or malfunctions.
  • Providing SharePoint support and end-user training.
  • Performing data retrieval and backup procedures to prevent data loss.
  • Ensuring sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
  • Reviewing usage and activity reports and adjusting to ensure optimised user-experiences.
  • Maintaining network infrastructure, as well as managing encryption, security zones, and firewalls.
  • Keeping up to date with SharePoint developments and performing version updates and upgrades.
  • To be positive, flexible, and resilient to achieve success in challenging situations.
  • Excellent planning and organising skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet targets.
  • Ability to work on own initiative.
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively and achieve results whilst working remotely.
