Job Description

Position Summary:

  • Become part of a team growing a new service for customers in an established business and industry.
  • Primary responsibilities are overall coordination and management of various aspects of the solution development and roadmap, including project execution.
  • The Project / Product Manager will play a key role in integrating IT tools and platforms for aftermarket and telematics solutions, including augmenting internal systems and connectivity to third-party partners.
  • Role includes focus on continuing process improvement, training & support to internal team members and channel partners, and planning for product/service enhancements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead definition of requirements and integration of telematics platform and data with other tools and systems, including service and warranty management systems, third-party billing platform, and Salesforce.
  • Support ongoing development of Aftermarket Services program, including definition and execution of systems tools and processes.
  • Interact with dealer channel partners and fleet customers to understand preferences and requirements for connectivity to third-party systems and solutions, including transportation management systems, yard management systems, trailer asset systems, and tractor/truck in-cab solutions.
  • Interact with personnel from external third-party vendors and partners, including definition of joint project scope, commercial agreements, and oversight of execution and testing.
  • Partner with internal IT and Engineering teams to ensure successful integration project execution.
  • Maintain list and description of third-party connectivity requests and implementations.
  • Capture requests for API applications and other integrations, and support prioritization queue for development.
  • Serve as an internal resource to support evaluation of incoming requests for solution roadmap planning, and provide subject matter expertise to internal teams, sales, and dealer channel partners.
  • Become a subject matter expert in the user website portal, including troubleshooting, identification and recommendation for improvements, and provision of training to others as needed.
  • Participate in prioritization of product/service enhancements, especially related to software improvements to enhance website portal, customer usage and information management, and IT tool improvements. Participate in testing of new improvements before they are released to customers.
  • Interact with multiple information systems and other analysts to ensure data integrity and consistency across platforms.
  • Solve problems and make recommendations for improvements as they arise.

Education and Qualifications:

  • Great attention to detail is critical.
  • Enthusiasm toward and ability to solve problems.
  • BS or BA degree required. IT certifications or education preferred.
  • 7 or more years of experience, including direct work experience in IT and/or SW project or product management, services or IT administration or management.
  • Experience in Telematics and/or other Aftermarket Services offerings, or other IT solutions, SaaS or related applications is required.
  • Experience working with vendor partners and collaborating on solutions to benefit both companies is required.
  • Experience working with various business systems and websites, including user portals, eCommerce, billing, and/or service administration systems is strongly preferred. Experience with JDE Enterprise, Salesforce or other systems supporting monthly service billing is preferred.
  • Experience interacting with functional teams in IT, Finance, Operations, Services, Software Development, Product Management is preferred.
  • Experience interacting with customers to understand their needs and help solve their problems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including fluency with VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables is preferred.
