Due to our current Manager embarking on their career development journey, Phoenix Futures in Hounslow, West London, have an exciting opportunity to lead the service at Hounslow Alcohol Recovery Community (ARC).

Working 9 to 5, Monday to Friday and based in an NHS site. There is ample parking and is also easily access by multiple bus and train routes. 2 minute walk from Hounslow Central on the Piccadilly Line. This managerial role requires crucial face to face time with the people you line manage.

The Role
As a Service Manager, you will lead the small management team in supporting the team of substance use practitioners and HYPE (Hounslow Young People Engaged) young person workers to provide a substance use service to the borough of Hounslow.

You will collate and prepare data from the service and compile reports and present the data to our partners and commissioners. You will lead on developing the strategy at the service supported by the Head of Services. You will also be responsible for ensuring the team are well trained and take the lead in recruitment and also supervision of the team.

If you would rather prefer to build more skills as a manager before taking charge of the service, we also have a Team Manager vacancy which supports the Service Manager role. If you are an experienced Recovery Worker looking to get into management, we would welcome your application.

About You
To join us as a Service Manager at Hounslow, you will need:

• A desire to work in a management position in a very busy community substance misuse service.
• 2+ years relevant experience of working in health and social care (problematic substance use, mental health or another comparable field)
• Evidence of effective partnership working and the ability to network for the benefit of the client and service
• To be proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook and Word and be familiar with database management systems
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Determined, with a drive to succeed and a willingness to learn
• Passionate and enthusiastic about making a real difference to the lives of people we support
