Full-Time Technical Support Analyst
Job Description
We are recruiting a full time Technical Support Analyst to join a thriving and busy IT Department.
The Technical Support Analyst will support Education Development Trust in delivering outstanding, sustainable education solutions by providing expert support for all IT /infrastructure / applications issues. Making good use of proactive monitoring, maintenance and repair to maximise the uptime of the systems, infrastructure, applications and services. Look for opportunities and develop initiatives to further improve the IT systems, applications and infrastructure. Work on specific projects to support application development within the Azure Dev Ops framework. Be the escalation point for the service desk for technical issues of a Tier 2/3 type responding in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs)for resolution.
The Technical Support Analyst will be called upon to support staff based in other Education Development Trust locations and home workers.

Knowledge Essential:
▪ Azure Cloud Solutions, including infrastructure, VMs, networking, SQL instances, Appservices
▪ Security – NSGs, WAFs, IAM, System identities, IAAS, PAAS
▪ Internet access(WAN) and security solutions
▪ Networking Firewall/ routing / switching configuration (VPN, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, SNMP)
▪ Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2 to 2019
▪ PowerShell and command
▪ Microsoft Active Directory
▪ Group policy management
▪ MS Exchange Server and Exchange online management, Mailboxes and shared resources, permissions, smtp mail tracing
▪ Email management, filtering and security solutions, archiving
▪ Windows 10management, configuration, builds, software rollout
▪ MS Office stack including Teams and SharePoint
▪ Commercial knowledge and contract delivery
▪ Knowledge of working within ITIL framework
Experience Essential:
▪ Working within a team but also able to work alone without supervision
▪ Experience of solution design and project delivery, on time and in budget
▪ Working with Server Hardware and premises or at data centres
▪ Cloud and virtual technologies, Azure, Hyper-V, VMware
▪ Windows server stack▪ Experience of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity policies for infrastructure environments
▪ Solid technical experience of Microsoft Windows 10 and best practice processes for delivery and management
▪ Experience working for an IT Help Desk or Call Centre
▪ Project delivery experience working within a framework such as Prince2
