Temporary Service Desk 1st Line Support (Maternity Cover)
Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with a good understanding of Windows OS, Mac OS and mobile settings/configuration to join our team as Service Desk 1st Line Support covering maternity leave. In this role, you will provide 1st line technical support for LFC end users for any technology-based application, hardware, network issues and peripherals. You will be responsible for monitoring and organizing service desk tickets ensuring that all incoming tickets are responded to, and key questions asked within specified response SLAs.
What will you be doing?
-Display good communication and customer service skills in person, over the telephone, via email or the Service Desk ticket system to establish and measure realistic expectations for user.
-Use problem solving skills to diagnose, evaluate and resolve some basic technology issues and when appropriate escalate or route through appropriate channels for the correct outcome.
-System Administration for various systems.
-Repair equipment and replacing parts
-Contribute, develop, and build a knowledge base of documentation for typical issues.
-Support multiple platforms and equipment types including remote working platforms, desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and meeting room video-conferencing equipment.
-Procurement and general administration.
-Maintain asset records and maintain stock levels
-Ensure all requests and incidents are completed to satisfaction of end user and that if problems are identified, they are flagged up with the correct person.
Who are we looking for?
To be successful, you will understand the service desk role and its key purpose to the business, with a strong, up to date understanding of Windows OS, mobile (iOS / Android) and Office 365 settings and configuration. In addition, you will also have knowledge of Mac OS.
You will be aware that the Service Desk needs to adapt and accommodate within reason and be able to consider the user`s priorities and business challenges. You`ll know how to diffuse difficult situations and get the best outcome from the call. In addition, you will be aware of information and data security best practice.
