We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Global Product Development Owner to join our Securities Services and Digital, Asset Servicing team. This role is located in Pittsburgh or New York City – Hybrid Schedule.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Contribute to the vision, execution, measurement and outcomes for a product or functional area by identifying opportunities to expand capabilities and strengthen current services.
  • Manage relationships between internal groups on product development outcomes.
  • Negotiate and remove any blockers to progress.
  • Sustain transparent and consistent communications to all constituents.
  • Be conversant on BNYM agile roadmap to close gaps and improve processes vs Agile methodology and tools.
  • Be aware and mindful of Enterprise audit / regulatory requirements for project execution and ensure proper compliance is followed.
  • Work alongside Product Management and ensure client priorities are aligned and implemented seamlessly.
  • Contribute and work on external client communications ensuring clear articulation of any new product or uplift.
  • Identify and help Implement solutions and goals to improve and optimize efficient agile operation / agile maturity.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required. 7+ years of total work experience in Product Development preferred.
  • Balance of technical knowledge and business acumen in Proxy Voting and Class Actions with preferred experience across Corporate Actions and Income is required for this role
  • Experience within Corporate Governance, Litigations, Custody, Global Custody and/or Securities Services background is required for this role
  • Customer first / thinking mind set.
  • Proactive, self-starter with excellent project management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.
  • High degree of organization, individual initiative, and personal accountability.
  • Proven track record of delivering solutions with a customer-first mindset.
  • Established background in launching software or services in partnership with engineering teams and high degree of proficiency working with iterative development, understanding of Agile principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Experience successfully driving end to end delivery of data and intelligence solutions, including a wide variety of mechanisms, e.g., dashboards, APIs, real-time alerts etc.

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $98,000 and $216,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
