We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Data & Solution Architect to join our team, Finance Regulatory Change & Support, a critical function in EMEA Finance Controllers domain. This role is in Manchester, Northwest of England & is a hybrid role. (Min 3 days in office/week).

Department Overview

The Regulatory Change and Support Team in EMEA is responsible for implementing new and existing European regulation on our reporting platform AxiomSL (Adenza) ControllerView. These include changes proposed by EBA, ECB, BoE and other supervisory bodies and national regulators. We are made up of a team of 21 permanent staff and a few contractors; comprised of project managers, business and systems analysts, a solutions design, and a systems support lead. The Data and Solution Architect is front and centre in the success of implementing changes in regulation. This is a pivotal role in the team, and you will be interacting with multiple stakeholders across many jurisdictions and differing levels of seniority. You will be responsible for the solution design and optimization for our regulatory reporting system.

This is a senior role in the team, and you will be part of the management structure that helps determine our team strategy.

Key Responsibilities

End to end Solution Delivery – Plan, organize, lead, and control all aspects of the solution design. Understand the technology requirements for a regulatory change or new implementation. Tabling solutions and methodically risk assessing each approach with a focus on the near-term targets and future impacts.
Running the design Authority / Forum – challenging the ask for change and guiding the group when choosing a solution based on objective facts and design principles.
IT Relationship Management – brokering agreements with other technology counterparts and presenting changes at various change acceptance boards.
Making sure adherence to best practice is maintained and the framework refined when the organizational structure changes.
Consistently apply knowledge of financial regulation to the technological design
Manage the regional environment that AxiomSL sits on
Mentoring other systems analysts
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in technology or related field is required.
Work experience as an Architect / solution designer is a must.
Regulatory change experience, and experience in data IT projects are bonuses.
Certified Data Management Professional or equivalent would be a significant advantage.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
