Summary:
You are an experienced project manager who will manage the design process, development, and ongoing maintenance of websites. You are highly organized and proactive in overseeing the successful delivery of PRR’s digital products, managing the project workplan, milestones, delivery, and developer communications. You understand the fundamentals of web design and development, and can develop digital strategies and communicate technical, often complex processes to clients in an easy to understand, jargon-free way. You are experienced with project management responsibilities such as billing, scheduling, and managing team communications. This is a senior-level technical project manager position, which means you must be comfortable proposing and championing project plans, budgets, and approaches with practice leads in other PRR departments. An active approach to problem-solving, team leadership, and collaboration are essential to this role. The web practice at PRR is growing, and your enthusiasm and genuine interest in the digital space will be key to helping this small team continue to innovate and grow.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the project team through all phases of work (discovery, information architecture, design, build, testing, content entry and QA/QC process, deployment, etc.).
Develop strategies to meet technical requirements for web projects and be able to explain the pros and cons to non-technical clients and partners.
Coordinate project timelines, contracts, and collaboration with front-end and back-end development teams and manage project’s technical needs (i.e. Google Analytics, purchase and set up domain hosting).
Develop and track the project budget, workplan and implementation of project tasks and milestones.
Proactively manage all active web design projects and support/maintenance for existing/owned sites
Schedule and facilitate web project team meetings, including creating meeting agendas, and sharing meeting notes. Working with the project manager, keep team members informed of available hours and budget constraints.
Provide expertise in digital solutions and counsel company leadership in digital strategy in internal initiatives and business development efforts
Manage collaboration space on Microsoft Teams, ensuring project information is up to date and design and copy assets are organized and available to designer
Create estimates for business development purposes
Provide regular progress reports, both internally and to clients
Establish efficient workflow and continually look for opportunities for improvement
Experience/Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or design, a certificate in technical project management, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a professional environment as a senior web developer, lead interaction designer, or project manager
Skills Required
Project planning and management skills: able to build project timelines in partnership with creative lead; manage timing expectations with clients and internal team, modifying and communicating efficiently
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on clarity and timeliness of replies both internally and with clients
Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality results
Passionate about learning and trying new web technologies and following best practices for accessibility on the web
Experience building in, or leading teams working in Webflow or other HTML/CSS web building platform
Ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining focus on the big picture as well as the details, asking for guidance on prioritization, and proactively flagging bandwidth concerns
Ability to partner with team members across disciplines (design, copy, video, interactive, production, etc.), looking for ways to improve process and product
Ability to review creative concepts through final output to confirm alignment with creative strategy and business objectives, integrate client feedback, and proof for accuracy
Ability to consistently meet deadlines and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
