Senior Software Engineer – up to £54,000 – Hybrid (Remote working available)
The Opportunity
Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a uniquely specialised Civil Service Organisation. The distinct nature of their work leads to positions that are exciting and different.
We are supporting them to recruit Senior Software Engineers for a variety of different teams across the company that run in either Scrum or Kanban. Working in .NET and allied technologies the successful candidate will be confident enough in their skills to mentor junior members of staff.
What the Senior Software Engineer will be doing
Working in a pair programming and mob development environments, you will be providing good quality code to push forward greenfield and stabilisation projects.
Utilising Agile methodologies to effectively develop products and features
Working in pairs or larger teams to effectively ensure quality while designing and coding full stack solutions
Engage effectively with stakeholders and attend regular project meetings – both internally and with third parties
Mentoring more junior developers
Automated unit testing
What the successful Senior Software Engineer will bring to the team
You will have around 3 years+ experience in full stack .NET development with knowledge of automated testing and good pair programming skills.
Around 3+ years full stack experience in .NET
Solid experience with cloud technologies – Azure preferred but not essential
Good communication skills to be able to mentor more junior developers
Ability to work effectively using Agile practices
Desire to engage in communities of practice in the wider organisation
