Full-Time Senior R&O Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Responsibilities:
· Install. repair and maintain plant equipment to ensure proper operation and optimum up-time.
· Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
· Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, and engineering specifications, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions.
· Remove defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand/power tools, examining form and texture of parts. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
· Proper use of welding and cutting equipment related to all phases of metal fabrication and repair.
· Determine changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts, using rulers, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
· Familiar with code wiring installation on equipment or buildings. Ability to repair and troubleshoot equipment and control circuits if needed. Must also lay out and install piping (pipefitting) in accordance with code/trade specifications.
· Compile full list of materials needed and/or used for each repair, fabrication, or installation assignment.
· Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor in installing, fabricating, or repairing as deemed necessary

· Must identify/report unsafe conditions and behaviors and work successfully in a team environment.
Position Criteria:
· Ability to work in a hot and humid environment 15 to 20% of the time (dip room 105 degrees Fahrenheit 40 % humidity)
· Willing to work in hazardous environment wearing respirator mask and fire-resistant clothing
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
· Ability to climb stairs and ladders
· Must be able to pass a pulmonary function test (PFT)
YOU MUST HAVE
· High School Diploma or GED
· Four-year apprenticeship/degree in one of the following trades: Machinist, Electrician, Welder, Pipe Fitter OR two years of experience as an industrial Maintenance Mechanic.
