The Health District is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Projects Coordinator to join the Community Impact Team who can develop effective relationships at all levels, think and plan strategically, and provide hands support for community needs. This position reports to the Manager, MHSU Alliance and SUD Transformation on the Community Impact Team and will support the development, implementation and leadership of community change initiatives.
Pay Range and Status
- $67,145 to $71,431 per year DOQ
- 40 hrs/wk

Education and Experience
- Any combination of training AND/OR experience that would provide the equivalent of:
- A Master’s degree in behavioral health, social work, health or other relevant field or a combination of equivalent experience and education.
- A minimum of five (5) years of professional level experience in senior level human resources management, two (2) of which should be in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge and ability to apply principles of equity, diversity and inclusion to provoke systems change.
- Significant experience with and/or knowledge of best practices in the prevention and treatment of mental illnesses and substance use disorders.
- Experience with in-person and virtual training and facilitation is strongly desired.
- Experience with strategic planning, research and project management, development and evaluation strongly desired.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Projects Coordinator works closely with the Manager and team, partners involved in the Mental Health and Substance Use Alliance of Larimer County (MHSU Alliance), Health District leaders, and others, to organize and implement primarily behavioral health improvement efforts in prioritized areas.
This position uses leadership, community organizing, research, analysis, strategic planning, project management, organization of educational and outreach events, and communication skills to work with partners and stakeholders to help the community develop and implement short and long-range solutions to community behavioral health-related issues. Must thrive on making sense out of complexity and ambiguity; be flexible with change; and enjoy problem solving and learning.
- Manages or assists in managing complex projects to meet identified goals and objectives.
- Develops implementation plans including development of budgets, staffing, goals/objectives, policies and procedures, and evaluation and improvement plans; oversees implementation.
- Performs community organizing functions including organization of diverse community members around an issue, and negotiation of changes in policies, approaches and processes.
- Develops concise summaries, briefings, reports and visuals that point to clear next steps
- Prepares agendas, facilitates meetings, and provides other staffing assistance to committees.
