The location of our new DC is 447 Logistics Drive, Ellabell GA 31308.
A Day in the Life:
- Monitor and manage the development of supply chain enhancements and project implementation. Investigate and create solutions that support the financial goals of the company. Day to day project management and reporting of progress and results. Analyze and develop workload and financial data to support capital and expense investment.
- Manages Supply Chain projects by providing project leadership and daily management for all assigned projects. Supports the design and installation of material handling equipment, technology, and systems incorporated into existing, new and expanded network buildings. Support capital projects when required with work sampling, cost justification (Return on Investment), and cost/benefit analyses.
- Assists management development of the long-term network strategy. Analyze data and report to management and others. Research and implement new concepts to improve the flow and setup in the distribution centers. Perform due diligence on each project to ensure accuracy of costs assumptions, capacity assumptions, and timing assumptions. Develop presentations and present recommendations to senior management.
- Works with internal and external resources (consultants and contractors) to ensure collaborative partnerships to meet business requirements. Responsible for contract administration, supplier/contractor management and change order negotiations.
You’ll Come With:
- BS Industrial Engineer, Supply Chain Manager, or related degree
- 8+ years of Engineering and Project Management experience related to process design, productivity improvement, cost reduction, material handling equipment and systems design, and capital project implementation
- Experience opening new distribution centers with automation, racking systems, new Warehouse Management System and Warehouse Execution System
- Proven experience managing capital projects larger than $50M on time, on budget, and on scope. Strong ability to gather, analyze and interpret information and develop, recommend and implement solutions while maintaining budget.
- Able to manage multiple tasks at once, recognizing interdependencies & prioritizing appropriately
- Experience in financial analysis, interpretation, and presentation for project justification
- Experience working with Township officials and Fire Marshalls to help navigate project permitting processes
- Ability to travel ~25%
- Project Management Professional Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
