Status: Contract (6 Months)
Location: 22 Adelaide Street West, Toronto (currently working remotely but will need to commute to the office when it reopens)

Job Summary:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing computer information systems that support new business initiatives and respond to changing business requirements. You will work with the user communities to identify/analyze problems and recommend effective solutions. You will also work with various IT resources to design, develop, test, implement and roll-out new systems and enhancements to existing systems using appropriate tools.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Code, test and debug new programs to specifications according to industry and in-house standards. Assist with requirements gathering and design as required. Conduct unit, system and parallel testing. (60%)
• Maintain and enhance existing Systems by deciding which changes are required to achieve end user objectives and executing these changes (coding & testing). Investigate production problems by identifying the source of the problem and resolving the problem so that it does not reoccur. (30%)
• Prepare and maintain program documentation by deciding what is significant to the system and then compiles documentation in accordance with company policies. (5%)
• Train and inform users and IT support staff (if required) about system functionality and support requirements. Inform and provide assistance to end users and IT support staff with questions and problems. (5%)
Qualifications:
Specific training or job experience required includes:
• Post-secondary education in Computer Science/Data Processing
• 5+ years experience in a computer software development environment using below tools/technologies:
• Frontend technologies: HTML/CSS, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
• Backend experience using C#, ASP.NET, Web API
• Development experience in Visual Basic, ASP VBscript will be highly preferred
• Experience in SQL Server and strong scripting skill, experience with SSIS, SSRS
• Good oral and written communication skills (English)
