Full-Time Senior People & Culture Coordinator
Job Description
OVERVIEW
We are seeking an enthusiastic, growth-oriented, and service-driven Senior People & Culture Coordinator passionate about HR Administration & Systems to join our People & Culture team. Reporting to the VP People & Culture, this role is critical to Terramera’s success, leading a range of areas with primary focus on the optimization, management, and administration of our critical HR systems. These include but are not limited to payroll, benefits and compensation, employee contracts & onboarding & HRIS. In addition, this role is instrumental in supporting employee engagement.
YOUR MISSION
ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manages the administration of Terramera’s total rewards program, including pay (i.e., salaries and bonuses), stock options, time off, benefits, professional development, etc.
- Oversees and updates Payroll records for each pay period and ensures pay-outs are deposited error-free and meeting all applicable procedures and regulations in each jurisdiction
- Drives a positive, memorable onboarding experience for all new hires
- Partners with Legal on completing Employment and Consultant Agreements as required and manages employee setup on internal systems
- Maintains consistency and relevance of necessary onboarding information for incoming team members of all levels, as well as seeking innovations to personalize and automate the onboarding program
- Conducts onboarding meetings to welcome new employees and set them up for success
- Leads the coordination of internal activities, initiatives and events related to driving and maintaining engagement across Terramera as we shift to a hybrid remote work model
- Owns the employee feedback process (including eNPS) through user-friendly survey design and distribution, and compilation and analysis of relevant data to be translated into insights for enhancing and implementing evidenced-based people & culture practices
- Maintains the Company’s HRIS and people-related databases, leads periodic audit of our systems with excellence to ensure accurate record-keeping and effective reporting
- Monitors and updates the People & Culture operating budget and expenditure, includes conducting periodic variance analyses to inform of current progress and necessary adjustments
- Contributes to overall effectiveness and success of People & Culture team through strategic planning and tactical design sessions
REQUIREMENTS
- University degree in Human Resources or relevant discipline
- Minimum 2 years of HR experience, ideally in high-tech, rapid, and complex work settings
- Proven applied knowledge base, experience and/or exposure to all aspects of human resources
- Knowledge of employment-related laws, standards, and regulations
- Experience with BambooHR or relevant HRIS
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), databases and project management tools
- Previous experience in client service and event planning for large company and team events, held onsite and virtually
- Experience and/or knowledge in immigration from across multiple jurisdictions is an asset
- In pursuit of the CPHR designation is an asset but not required
