We’re looking for a Senior Merchandising Associate to join our growing team. In this role, you will have the ability to work closely with senior leadership, making a huge contribution to a rapidly growing part of the business.
Responsibilities
- Drive the development of new products according to assortment plans across multiple perishable and non-perishable product categories including fresh flowers, plants, dried bouquets and hard goods
- Work collaboratively with supply chain partners to execute on the strategies, vision and reason for being for each new product
- Own product information and responsible for maintaining and updating manual documentation with some administrative support
- Drive margin/IMU goals on a per product basis
- Drive the development process with excellent organizational skills, process orientation and attention to detail
- Creative product ideation, must have an eye and mind for the product
- Deep competitive analyses to determine trends, identify assortment gaps and understand the consumer landscape and nuances of each category
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive solutions and problem solving through creation of business cases and/or SOPs
- Monitor in season selling, substitutions and QC to fine tune future development
- Potential new vendor discovery and recommendations
Qualifications
- Perishable and/or ecommerce merchandising, product development or supply chain experience preferred; priority to those with backgrounds in floral and/or associated fresh categories
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google equivalent, especially Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Looker and Google Analytics experience preferred
- Self-starter with impeccable attention to detail
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects and quickly adapt in an evolving environment
