Full-Time Senior Manager of Information Security

AllMed Healthcare Management is an independent review organization that provides comprehensive physician review solutions to payer and provider organizations across the nation. Our team integrates with our clients, with medical, copy editing and customer resources that enable them to improve both their services and business goals. Our clients include leading health plans, medical management organizations, TPAs, disability carriers, hospital groups and ambulatory surgery centers.
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager of Information Security. This position is located in Portland, OR.
The Senior Manager of Information Security role is responsible for designing, implementing and managing AllMed’s information security program in order to protect information from loss and unauthorized access. This role is also responsible for ensuring that AllMed is compliant with industry and customer information security requirements. This role reports to the Senior Director of IT.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
- Develops and implements information security policies and procedures and tracks compliance through the organization
- Identifies and tracks threats and implements appropriate counter-measures
- Develops, implements and manages the information security risk management program
- Creates and maintains documentation for client and industry assessments and certifications
- Responds to client information security assessment requests
- Investigates and manages responses to information security incidents
- Defines, implements and monitors information security controls
- Assesses and monitors the information security compliance of vendors and subcontractors
- Manages the development, implementation and testing of AllMed’s Disaster Recovery program
- Lead awareness and training initiatives to educate employees, contractors and vendors about information security risks and best practices
REQUIRED SKILLS
The position is frequently varied and involves solving problems of high complexity and business impact. A strong proficiency in monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis is required. The incumbent exercises judgment within generally defined information security practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining results. The incumbent works directly with IT professionals, compliance officers, managers, executives, contractors, vendors and end users. The incumbent must have excellent communications, teamwork, leadership and conflict management skills. Experience, training or a strong interest in the following areas is required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems management or equivalent experience
- 3 years of experience in the field
