Salary Range: Approx. Low $80,000 to High $90,000
About Peer Health Exchange
Founded in 2003, Peer Health Exchange (PHE) is a national non-profit organization that aims to build healthier communities with young people. In schools and online, PHE creates education opportunities for peers to share the tools and resources young people need to make healthy decisions. Near-peer Health Facilitator Fellows implement PHE’s health curriculum to 12,000 high school students in under resourced communities across the country. PHE’s online platform, selfsea.org , reaches over 200,000 young people 13-18 with support, resources, and stories. About the role
As the Sr. Manager, Evaluation you will plan and manage the day-to-day operations of developing, implementing and integrating evaluation and learning to track, monitor, calibrate and communicate PHE’s strategic impact and innovations. Additionally, you will support PHE’s capacity in promoting and enhancing a culture of evaluation and learning. You will report directly to the Vice President, Organizational Learning & Strategy.
About the Organizational Learning & Strategy team
With strong collaboration with young people and teams, the OLS team will define and assess impact in our strategic plan; creating and monitoring internal and external strategies/processes for implementing and integrating strategic learning for impact and applying said definition of impact.

Here is what you’ll do as part of our Team
Evaluation Planning and Management
- Create, propose, collaborate across teams and implement evaluation projects which measure, monitor and communicate impact and innovations including evaluation plans, yearly learning agendas, analyzing and synthesizing data, and building internal capacity for learning and evaluation
- Co-design with Vice President, Organizational Learning Strategy and develops yearly learning agendas as well as cumulative strategic learning and impact
- Partner with youth to design, develop and implement youth engagement evaluation project with clear objectives and outcomes in alignment with organization’s strategic priorities
Evaluation Data Analysis and Reporting
- Leads and conducts quantitative and qualitative analyses of data collected in PHE’s various evaluation activities (including surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observations).
- Drafts reports for internal and external use that communicate organizational-level learning and/or results from PHE’s various evaluation activities
- Supports PHE teams in interpreting and using evaluation results to participate in adaptive planning and data-driven decision making for team and organization level responsibilities (i.e. setting team priorities, annual planning)
Support PHE’s Long-Term Evaluation and Strategic Planning
- Recommends and collaborates on evaluation projects which engage and elevate the voices of young people in defining impact (i.e Youth Evaluation Projects, Community Based Action Research).
- Supports team leadership in long-term evaluation planning and coordination of future program evaluation and innovation work
- Works with the Data Manager to guide and manage evaluation processes, systems, activities and tools to track, calibrate understand, implement, use and communicate learning (including but not limited to establishing organizational metrics and evaluation)
- Uses evidence and data-driven practices to promote, measure and inform strategic initiatives, define impact and assess threat/facilitators to impact and innovation
Staff Management
- Manage and develop Data Manager to a sustained high level of performance through coaching, mentorship, etc. to ensure that they are constantly acquiring new skills, as well as enhancing and growing their current skills
- Create and implement effective and relevant staff onboarding and training in conjunction with other departments
- Exemplify PHE’s core values and advance PHE’s vision for health equity in all aspects of our work, internally and externally

Minimum qualifications:
- Demonstrate a strong passion for PHE’s mission to build healthier communities with young people; strong alignment with PHE’s core values of Health Equity, Commitment, Communication, Agency, and Impact.
- Centers youth inclusion, community partnership, and equity work visibly, broadly, in action in part through deep listening and hearing with a lens of inclusion.
- 5-7 years of experience relevant experience with program evaluation
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Public Health, Public Policy, or a related social science(e.g. Psychology or Sociology) OR 3 years of related experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in data management and evaluation projects.
- Demonstrate knowledge of and project management, research and evaluation methodologies for measuring impact
- Ability to turn evaluation findings into actionable recommendations for decision-making processes
- Ability to create a collaborative and inclusive team environment that values learning, growth, and continuous improvement
- Functional knowledge of data management principles, systems and infrastructure (i.e. Salesforce, Qualtrics, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills; ability to interface with various and diverse set of stakeholders, groups and individuals, and motivate others to achieve high performance
- Good business acumen and excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Attention to detail and efficient in the management of diverse tasks
- Excels in a team-oriented, fast-paced and dynamic environment
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience working in a non-profit setting and understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in nonprofit evaluation
- Awareness of the broader landscape and trends related to youth health, education and evaluation
- Master’s degree in Education, Public Health, Public Policy, Biostatistics, or a related social science
- 1- 2 years of experience delivering programs and/or supporting the delivery of programs
- Experience with technology and ability to learn new platforms and adapt them to organizational needs; advanced skills using Microsoft Excel; strong skills using statistical software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, SAS, R)
- Experience designing and implementing staff training and support, ideally in organizational-level evaluation
