The role

Working within Bristol University Press, the Senior Journals Assistant provides administrative, editorial and marketing support to the journals team and will work closely with team members to meet clear objectives.

 

What will you be doing?

You will provide editorial support to several Journal Editors, be the first point of contact for general enquiries to the journals team, gather data for board reports, support the commissioning and peer review process for new journals, provide support for journals marketing as well as general administrative support to the team, including finance processing.

 

You should apply if

You are proactive, organised and have strong clerical and IT skills. Independence and initiative will be required to meet tight deadlines and accuracy and attention to detail are crucial. Experience of working in an administrative or clerical role in a busy office environment is essential and ideally you will have knowledge of journals publishing processes and an interest in marketing and customer service.
